GIG DATES AT A GLANCE
30th April 2022- Into the Valley 2022 - Better things are happening again!
FARMYARD PARTY 2022
This rally has been in the diary for over 2 years now, since the dreaded Covid put a stop to all live events back in March 2020...... and in every attempt to reopen the country and lift restrictions, this has always been that bit too early in the year to sneak in and go ahead......but this year it has finally made it!
As soon as the bands kicked off on Friday there was a great atmosphere and plenty of people letting their hair down to enjoy a great party.....
The venue was Driffield Showground, a new one for ITV, and there were a few murmurs about the Pavillion building were the main entertainments were being held, mostly because it had chandeliers hanging from the ceilings and curtains across the walls.......but we weren't put off one bit, we could see the bar and the stage....that's all we need :)
Saturday arrived and after watching the brilliant Smacked Arse Comedy Show, preparations were underway for that evening's live music to begin.....
When our turn arrived, we got the gear all onstage and setup. Unfortunately Sam's guitar amplifier was misbehaving and not operating as it should. Thankfully the band on prior to us, the fantastically generous and aptly named 'Panic Stations' were able to lend Sam a piece of their gear to limp us on through and we took to the stage a little later than planned....
Still, a brilliant audience soon had us forgetting the gremlins and were more than up for our set, and the time we were on flew by for us.
Big thanks to Yorkshire MAG for having us on, to the stage crew for all their efforts and it was great to catch up with many familiar faces that we've not seen for what seems like forever.
We enjoyed it so much......we'll see be seeing everyone again when we headline the Farmyard Party's Riders Rights stage on Friday 17th June!
Next weekend takes us to "The Royal Chesire Showground" no less, to play for the wonderful people responsible for getting so many disabled bikers on the road, the fantastic National Association for Bikers with Disability. If things had been allowed to progress along the normal timeline, this would actually be the 31st year of this rally's existence - but they are carrying on with the 29th that should have been held in 2020.
We are so happy to be back \m/ See you there
